Adwords : A targeted advertising program in which business ads appear as « sponsored links » on the Google results pages as well as the results pages of Google’s partners, such as AOL and Ask.com. The advertiser chooses keywords and a short one- or two-line text ad, which is displayed on the results pages when the ad keywords match up with the search keywords.
Affiliation : an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. It is an application of crowdsourcing.
Attrition : Gradual wearing away over time of the customer loyalty to a brand in absence of effective promotion. Calculated by the attrition (or churn) rate.

Greenwashing : when a company makes a misleading claim about the environmental benefits of its products, services, technologies or practices.
IoT : Internet of Things.
The network of physical objects or « things » embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity to enable it to achieve greater value and service by exchanging data with through other connected devices (ex: heart monitoring implants).
SEA ou SEM : Search Engin Advertizing ou Marketing
a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs) through the use of search engine optimization, paid placement, contextual advertising, and paid inclusion
SEO : Search Engine Optimization
The process of choosing targeted keyword phrases related to a site, and ensuring that the site places well when those keyword phrases are part of a Web search.
